 Business and Technology Assessments and Solution Projects

I. The Business Assessment: A first step

A business relationship with TCS begins with a free (yes, it truly is free, though a callout charge may apply if you are outside of Sandwich, IL) Business Assessment--a one to two hour interview with the owner(s) of a potential TCS business client that results in a document compiled from the information gathered. The Business Assessment is a tool to give TCS insight into the non-technical side of a potential client's business and the resulting document shows the potential client that TCS has an understanding about the client's business. The Business Assessment also may, and probably will, enable the client to think about their business from new perspectives.

II. The Technology Assessment: A comprehensive examination and analysis

After the Business Assessment, if both the potential client and TCS agree, a Technology Assessment will be performed by TCS (billable). The Technology Assessment is a comprehensive examination of a client's technology environment. Detailed information will be gathered by TCS and then analyzed. Facilities, hardware, software, services, staff, and consultants will all be included in the analysis. The result is a high-level document describing the client's existing technology environment with (undetailed) recommendations for changes, upgrades, projects to improve the client's technology environment. While the client may wish to use the insight obtained at that juncture to update, upgrade, or replace some or all of their systems on their own, the document is in no way a detailed plan or step-by-step procedure with specific hardware, software, service recommendations--it is not a "recipe", but rather a detailed inventory and high-level plan from which Solution Project recommendations can be made.

III. Solution Projects: Harnessing technology

Armed with the information from both the Business Assessment and the Technology Assessment, TCS will propose one or more Solution Projects to the client which will include a scope description, cost, and time estimates, and a delivery method. If client accepts the TCS proposal(s), contracts will be endorsed, down payments made, and the project(s) will commence as per Project Agreement.

TCS solutions can save you time and money. TCS solutions are delivered as full-lifecycle projects tailored to specific needs, utilizing TCS methods and processes. TCS offers a range of solutions, including complete networked system deployment and ongoing support.

IV. TCS as your IT provider: The path forward

Technology systems are dynamic: they change to meet changing business needs and evolve as the business grows. Systems must also be monitored and supported. TCS can provide business clients with contracted service agreements to maintain, monitor and support a client's systems, services, and 3rd-party providers. TCS can provide a wide range of relevant services such as end-user training, troubleshooting and 3rd-party provider liasoning.
